@TheSeki1999 So you believe that MG42 rounds, cant break tree branches?
Evin a fucking Vickers machinegun from ww1 can do that.
I think that the reason that they are not shot out of the tree is;
the MG42 gunner spotted something more dangerous then the carabine gunner,
which probably would be or the .30 caliber machinegun firing at them,
or maybe he spotted movements of a group men, elsewhere.
When a MG42 gunner spots a group of 5 he will turn away from just 3,
the more dead, the better!!

@BigMek456 Germans are pretty good at running away, not to mention how good they were at lining jews up and mowing them down, or gassing them, or burning them. So Fuck you. Maybe you should try thinking your comment through before posting it you rat bastard.
@kr0pp
Suggest you read the book(s).
Lipton clearly stated that getting up in the tree was a reckless move, and later in the war, few of them would have taken the kind of chances that they took that day.
It's not a movie, it's a ten-part miniseries, and a very good one. Several of the men depicted (Compton, Winters, Webster, Malarkey Guarnere and Heffron) also wrote books about their time in Easy Company and they are all worth reading.
