SLEEVE GASTRECTOMY. The new GOLD STANDARD
We present our - 450 patients /4-year experience (2005-8) with Super Sleeve (extended gastrectomy, bougie36Fr, staples over sewed). Mortality was zero and complications 1,5%. Mean EWL=72% on 24 months po. Weight remained stable (<10% fluctuation) in 95% of the patients up to 48 months. Quality of life was excellent. Sleeve gastrectomy is the new bariatric gold standard in gastric restriction.
