was intrested in baking my own bread for a healthier option but looking at how much sugar she put in to that bowl i think ill stick to the white slice

This is the best soda bread video on the web. It's a lot like my ma's (Mayo) though she sometimes added a little oats and honey or treacle (I guess in place of sugar).

That was wonderful. I have my mothers yellow pyrex bowl just like the one in the video. I use it often but don't know what I would do if it ever broke.

Awesome video..I love to watch other food traditions and recipes...this one looks like a keeper. Your mother is beautiful, I love the accent. I fresh grind my wheat before baking so this recipe is going to make one heck of a delicious weekend breakfast! Thank you ~

@1too3fore Everything you said is true of course, but only if you are eating this everyday of the week. I dont need luck with anything i know how much is too much, everything in moderation is fine in my opinion, stop with the scare mongering

@APERTUREKING Clearly, you don't care about your health much! Salt leads to high blood pressure, sugar leads to unstable blood glucose levels and eventually type 2 diabetes. Good luck with that.
Great video and also does your mother speak Gaelic?

@paidskn1488 Yes, both my parents can speak some Gaelic, but due to local dialects in Ireland, and the fact that my parents grew up 80 miles apart, they could never get very far speaking it in our house because they would end up arguing with each other about the correct way to say it!

@kinglouisxvi Nope. Rural North Dublin, with a mix of midwest USA.
