fact 1: the fire was caused by static. cos she got in and out of the car and her clothing rubbed against the cushion.

fact 2: petrol although is flamable, don't burn very well. only the vapor is combustable. there is no danger of an explosion. maybe watched too much movies eh?

She got in her car while it was pumping, she didnt earth her self when she created static leccy by rubbing her clothes against her seats. Touched the pump spark jumped to earth and fire.

Ummm, have you ever tried to light gasoline (petrol) with a cigarette? Go ahead, try it. It wont light. It was ignited by STATIC CHARGE !!!!! datxfast got it right. Notice she got back into the car, thus rubbing her tookus on the fabric of the seat building a charge and then she returned to the nozzle and at the moment she touched it "spark" and flames. She did good shutting the nozzle off. Some of you need to go back and re-take high school physics.

I worked at a gas bar, and everyday had to shut the pumps off on idiots like this bimbo, and then they come in pissed off. Some where smokers, others trying to fill up gas tanks in the back of their trucks, etc, etc. Here in Canada if they break any regulations at the pumps I, as in ME, get a $10,000 (CAN) fine.
