Created and hosted by Coach Greg Mihovich, USC main purpose from the very beginning was not to establish the strongest and most conditioned person and then honoring only him, but to motivate a
consistent process of BECOMING a very strong and conditioned person. Yes indeed, some people scored higher then other, but EVERYBODY gained at the end of the day from the diligent and hard work leading up to the event.
Apart with the above philosophy of mutual gain through testing each other under stressful conditions, USC purpose was also to do the following:
*Total body power (BB Clean & Jerk, One-Arm Snatch)
*Total body absolute strength (BB / KB Turkish Get-Up)
*Upper body and core relative strength
(Muscle-Up / Pull-Up & Dip, Pull Over / Bupka)
*Cardiovascular and strength endurance (KB Snatches)
