The mother of a UK computer hacker who's facing extradition to the US has called on President Barack Obama to intervene. Janis Sharp spoke after her son, Gary McKinnon lost a court bid to avoid extradition. The case has also put the spotlight on the controversial US/UK extradition treaty, which critics say is biased in favour of the United States. Roshan Muhammed Salih reports.

  • If Gary McKinnon gets sent to the states, I think Europe will almost certainly meltdown. Infact - We know it will.

    From a principle perspective, how can the Germans poision our people with Mercury (Aspergers/Autism) and the West does almost nothing, but then go on to throw the book at Gary. - It clearly doesn´t wash.

    It´s countdown zum total kreig, Deutscher Kinderschander. ☠

  • Alan Johnson has the discretion to intervene. The guy has Aspergers Syndrome - these people can be highly intelligent but have no sense of social boundaries. If he had Raped and Murdered a child he would have been afforded more sypmathy and been give a more lenient sentence. He should serve his sentence in Britain and even that should be drasticaly reduced. Employing him as a Computer Expert for the Government would make more sense he has made a laughing stock of their so called Security System
