It's now the Eve of 2012 and Ford is still sitting on the car, not letting it out for sale. I have repeatedly told Ford I would like to purchase an Electric car but there is just one problem.
Electric cars are reliable, electric cars are very quick to their top speed, Electric cars require little maintenance or parts and electric cars use NO oil products (except tires, etc.).
Oil companies and Manufacturers hate electric cars because they are less profitable over time.
It's Profit vs. Planet.

Their focus is on afordable...funny

@Xjsc90X Damn.. That's a /facepalm to me.. I always thought Ford was owned by GM..

@khamvongsa09 lol dumbass that was GM. xD And GM destroyed them because a lot of their stocks were owned by oil companies.

@khamvongsa09 GM had the EV1. Get your facts straight.

@Vanuatoo With the advances in carbon nanotube technology, cheap and ultra effecient solar cells will soon be possible. Lithium air batteries will cut battery costs, weight, and increase the range to about that of a regular car.

Hey everyone, don't forget about the Aptera 2e, much more efficient than the volt, leaf or focus EV.
Thanks for the video. It seems like an interesting car, especially if it will be better priced than its electric competitors. Also, it would be cool if they extended the range.

Great and very comprehensive video! Kudos to both Ford and Magna for making this happen! An electric motor is perfect for a C-segment car like the Focus.
