Note how Esther (girl on floor in pink pants) is so engrossed in the game that she doesn't realize that in Wiimote/nunchuck steering mode, waving or 'turning' the controllers do nothing for the steering.

The game makes use of the Wii's motion-sensitive capabilities to allow steering of in-game vehicles by rotating the Wiimotes when placed in a steering wheel attachment.
