My encounter with a diamondback rattlesnake

It was around 3PM on Sunday June 29th 2008 at my temporary house in Yuma, Arizona. I went outside to get the mails, using the front door. When I was walking back, I saw a snake curled up in front of the door, hissing at me. I guessed when I came out of the house, I was walking by the snake without knowing it. So I went to the neighbor's house to call the fire department so that they could come and get him. It was pretty cool, though, given that I had just moved into this house a few days ago and I had already seen two snakes (this is the second one) in two days in a row!!!
