Yes, that is the 'Great Phil Upchurch on Guitar,
The Arranger is: The Late Great, Charles Stepney
Marvin Junior,.... one of the greats.

Thank you for posting. Haven't heard this by The Dells in many years.

je frissone quel voix !!! la musique me fait vibrer !!! j'adore <3

I'm a big Procoal Harum fan and a Dells fan too, and they did a an excellent job of this song!

There's no need to say who has the best version of this song because the song is so beautiful that as long as it's properly sung no one should walk away dissapointed. The Dells are a true American Treasure and Marvin Junior has an exremely distinctive voice, as most did back in the day. I cannot say that for the singers of today...at least not as of yet.

I forgot all about this, once owned it on 45! Thanx for the post!
I wonder if thats Phil Upchurch on the guitar solo,he played many sessions at Chess.

@darneitta Why do people have to compare versions? I really don`t care which version you like better. And since i am on this page, you can figure THIS is the version I want to hear. If you prefer another version other than this one .....get the heck off this page and go listen to the other one!!! Peace
