Three years ago in downtown Manhattan, the first Blip Festival proved that the New York chiptune scene is strong and unstoppable. After all this time, the scene keeps growing and getting stronger. If you were one of the lucky ones there that night, then welcome to the (sort of) reunion and join us as we say goodbye to 2 Player Productions at their last Pulsewave before they move to the West Coast. True to form, they're leaving us all with a parting gift in collaboration with 8bitpeoples.

This night marks the official release of the long awaited and much-guessed at catalog number 8BP100. In celebration, this will be a special, extra-long Pulsewave with a whole host of surprises and treats.

The party will also be a celebration of 8bitpeoples catalog number 8BP101, "Left", by minusbaby, with the United States premiere of an accompanying music video for the first single, "A Large Part of Your Mind Sliced", made by none other than 2 Player Productions' Asif Siddiky.

==============================

* At 7 PM there will be a special screening of 2 Player Productions documentary "Reformat the Planet 1.5"

* At 8 PM there will be an open mic.

* At 9 PM the first act will play.

* There will be DJ sets from Natty and C-Tor between each act so the music never stops.

8BK-ok kicks off the night with their Pulsewave debut after blowing away several New York chiptune open mics and the 2009 South by Southwest chiptune showcase.

Then prepare to be charmed by the heartlands sweetheart Bud Melvin as he demonstrates that chiptunes got soul in his first East Coast performance since Blip 2006.

Touchboy has played Blip '06, rocked the infamous Blip '07 afterparty, and gets in an annual visit to play Pulsewave, all while dropping a clandestine series of bootlegs that keep our man in Toronto at the forefront of the New York four-on-the-floor consciousness -- an honorary, local chiptune artist.

Covox returns to New York city as another Blip 2006 Alumnus. Finally we can stop holding our breath and start wearing our shoes out. Four years is far too long to be without one of the best-loved Game Boy musicians in Europe and the world.

Featuring optical VJ stimulation from Philadelphias circuit-master extraordinaire VBLANK and New York Citys own fine-art manipulators, J.Y.K. and Dave Mauro.
