Here is the second official music video for the track "Soda" off of the "How To Save The World" CD. Again, the band procured the services of Teddy Baddstreet to produce this largely "experimental" project. Here are some interesting notes about this video:
1.) ALL the footage in this video was shot in Los Angeles when the band lived there, having moved from Brunswick, GA., and by the band themselves.
2.) The idea was to have the band shoot all their footage in L.A. and ship the tape (yes, that's right, TAPE) to Teddy in Brunswick so he could start the editing process. The band, having used, arguably, the most ghetto-ass OLD SCHOOL camcorder ever made, sent the VHS TAPE to Teddy, who when viewing the footage, found something disturbingly annoying.....which leads us to....
3.)The band apparenly could rock their asses off, but couldn't somehow figure out how to get the time display to go away, resulting in ALL the footage having that stupid-ass time stamp on the lower right of the screen. What you see in the video was Teddy's idea of trying to, proverbially, "cover up a pimple on a smokin' hot ass". Whether this attempt worked, looked cool (which admittedly ended up working with the way it was edited and the MULTIPLE takes the band shot!), or succeeded, is strictly viewer discretion.
Anyway, here it is. Short, sweet, and to the point! Enjoy, and as the band would undoubtedly say: "FIGHT THE BEAR!!"
Line up:
Jason Thompson (a.k.a. "Guy Smiley") - bass/vocals
Matt Penwell - rhythm guitars
Damian Fedorko - lead guitars
Eric Ellis - drums
Trivia side note: Shortly after the production of this video, the band (minus Thompson, who stayed in L.A. to continue MFC) relocated back to Brunswick, GA and shortly thereafter became 3/5 of the band Waterbill, along with Teddy Baddstreet.
that was a pretty awesome mullet
