Was repaired to such extent in the early 80's by a local construction company but still it remains uneven and at high speed touch down, you feel like its bumpy and at taxi speed it feels like going over small waves.

Runway extension began after Martial Law was declared to accomodate the jet fighters of the PAF fighting the rebellion of the then MNLF. The work was rushly done under the administration of Pres. Marcos. Leveling of the concrete block by block was kind of omitted and the outcome were bumps or humps or waves created on every block segments of the extended runway 09.
