Jim G. 21 years ago on the Mike Ditka '88 Draft Show

Please excuse the bad quality - the tape was pretty old. Back in the late 80's when I worked at Shemin Nurseries and drove a Mack Truck, I was a little different looking. Or so I am told. We used to get tickets at work for the Mike Ditka Show. Back then we were crazy about the Bears because they had just won the Super Bowl after the 1985 season. This was a special show about the 1988 draft, earlier in the year. Mike and I had a spiritied (if short) discussion regarding the avoidance of fumbles. Anyway here is how I looked back in 1988, when I was 26 years old. Please comment if I should grow my beard back.

@fjccommish Ummm... Both these players were pretty good. Muster had a very productive career. Look at his numbers/averages as a non-featured fullback. He averaged more yards per carry than a lot of runningbacks.

@rickman33 AND- just take a look at how many passes Muster caught. He even led the team in receptions in 1990- AS A FULLBACK. Let me repeat that... Led his team in receptions AS A FULLBACK.

Poor Wendell Davis.

I'll never forget seeing that play at Veterans stadium that ended his career.

As it turned out these guys were nothings and the Bears just got worse and worse.
