@obxgroovydude Who cares how is it written in english? He was German by birth, his name is indeed German. Anglophones are a bit uncertain on other countries' names and need to change them so if you want to spell Handel do it. But do not go around and say that spelling Haendel is not correct, because you are wrong. It is just the German way to spell it. And if you do state that Handel is "the way" to spell it, sorry but you are the Nazi here.

You just proved my point. Your grammar is bad. In English, the name is Handel. In German, it is Händel. Now, since I am not surrounded by Nazis, it is spelled Handel.

@obxgroovydude But it is the correct spell! You either write the name with the Umlaut on the "a" or you write the Diphthong in this way.
