  • either there are 4 people that accidently-clicked on dis-like....or there are definetly 4 idiots that have watched this video....this is my first time watchin- because i just seen cody and dave on "dual survival" talking about pine-needle tea. i really enjoyed this video..but i have questions about diffrent trees-pine,cedar, christmas, cypris , type trees? can any evergreen be used for tea or only short-leaf pine?

  • @xxxc83xxx1 All Pines work well.. as does Spruce :)

  • That water is clear. . I suggest putting the needles in a small pan bring to a boil and then simmer for just 5-10 minutes. . the tea will actually be green. .

  • @Glorygirlonzion If you would like to do that you can. But we have found through much experience that when you boil the needles.. you release turpentine in the Pine.. I don't like to drink turpentine.. so we will continue to do it the way we showed.. But thanks for your suggestion

  • Could you tell me why? you don't want to put the ends in the tea. . I use them. . is there a reason I should not? thanks

  • @Glorygirlonzion You can use the ends if they are green.. We didn't use them off this tree because they were older needles.. and had turned white..

  • Awesome Video.. thank you so much for the teachings.. I added to my favorites!

  • @cowboysaver1971 You can use the needles from all kind of pine trees, the nutritients varies a little but are roughly the same and the taste is equal. =)

  • i have asked this question to alot of people and maybe ill get an answer, but what kind of pine tree do i use, i live in texas and really want to try pine needle tea but dont know if i use the round needles or the square and off of what pine tree. please help me out here.

  • @BushcraftOnFire From what I understand if you boil the needles you kill the vide-c as well.

  • @northernpike56 That's fine.. and you can do it that way if you like :)
