The Piromusical is the grand finale of the main Merce Festival and is in front of the Magic Fountain on Montjuic hill. The Magic Fountain is located near Plaza Espanya at the end of the Avinguda Reina Maria Cristina just below the Palau Nacional. This is a fantastic music and laser light display with fireworks centred around the Magic Fountain at Montjuic. The music and light themes change from year to year. Spectators fill up the entire length of the Avenue of Maria Cristina from the twin Venetian towers, so we recommend that you get there around 21.00 to get a good spot to stand or sit. There are no seating - you just stand on the street during the show. This is a lovely event for all ages and definately a highlight of the Merce festival. If you can't be there, but are in Barcelona then you can usually see the show live on Catalan TV channel TV3.
