yes, the only way to use zooms in D-Movies i with f 2.8 zooms (as 17-55) , because if you use zoom with 18-105 it witll change the exposure (f4 at and f 5.6 at 105). Also the quality of primes (50mm 1.8, etc) or good zooms (17-55; 80-200) is much better than 18-105 (this is good just for photo, no movies)
