This is video #1 of 2. Video 2 shows the Mercy Flights Helicopter landing for the injured driver.

A 50-year old Merlin man was critically injured when his pickup truck hit a tree and rolled onto its side Thursday evening (07-15-10). The crash was reported at 6:20pm in the 300 block of Galice Road, west of Robertson Bridge Road in Merlin. It took rescuers 24 minutes to cut the man from the wreckage.

Departments that responded included Rural/Metro Fire, AMR Ambulance, Mercy Flights and the Josephine County Sheriff's Office. Oregon Department of Forestry helped out with traffic control.

  • I am surprised that these jack-offs even know how to use extrication equipment after the last few videos of these same morons I just watched.

  • @LAFD27explorer this video is of RURAL / METRO FIRE, *NOT* GRANTS PASS RURAL FIRE.

Grants Pass Rural is the so-called department that doesn't know sh!t, Rural / Metro is the trained department.
