@mediaman2004 yea it does, but he didn't all the people before him tho, he said some and "very soon" to us in this Time Dimension is different from a eternally perspective right? i mean the bible take about how God sees our lives and how to him it is just a mere vapor(comes and before you know it gone)

@JovB23 The 'lie', or should I say the unfulfilled prophecy was that Jesus claimed he would be returning soon, before the people before him would die. In other words, very soon, not 50, 100 , 1000, 2000 + years. I hope that answers the question. Why question to Christians is "WHY DON'T YOU BELIEVE WHAT JESUS SAID?", and that that prophecy was unfulfilled?

@themegasuperbitch He said He would RETURN and receive us unto Himself. He will RETURN to this earth and establish the Kingdom of God on earth. The whole Bible speaks of this repeatedly. We are saved from bondage to sin, which would lead to Gehenna (the lake of fire) which happens 1000 years after the first resurrection. He never said we go to heaven or hell upon our death. The Unrepentant die the second death in the lake of fire. Everyone else is given eternal life on the "new earth" paradise.

@altonragan The scriptures detailing the resurrections can be found in I Thessolonians 4:14-18 I Corinthians Chpt 15 Revelation Chpt 20 Matthew 24:29-44, Mark 13:24-27, Philippians 3:8-21, i John 3:2, Daniel 12

:2-3, and several other places in less detail. Jesus referred to the resurrection often. Never did He ever talk about going to heaven or hell when we die.

@altonragan That is a good question. The answer is that there have been false teachers since the Apostles's time. The fact is that there is no "rapture", at least not the way people think of it. It is the first resurrection that occurs at the return of Christ that people call the rapture. Those who have died in Christ will rise and be transformed along with those who are still alive in Christ at His return. They will meet Christ in the air and descend with Him to Jerusalem, to rule with Him.

"why do the dead rise first at the rapture", books & moves seems not to touch up on this subject and its the first thing that happens at the Rapture, WHY if there no teaching on this!
