April 26, 2009 - Singing sensation Susan Boyle is cracking under the pressure of her phenomenal fame and should QUIT Britain's Got Talent to sort out her own career, her brother warned last night.
Bewildered Susan, 48, who has had more internet hits than Barack Obama, has been left exhausted by the frenzy of excitement that greets her every move.
Her brother Gerard last night said she is now "too big" for Britain's Got Talent and should leave the show to concentrate on putting out a record straight away.
Susan's family and BGT guru Simon Cowell are also at loggerheads over how her startling success should be managed.
In the US on Friday, Cowell waspishly criticised Susan for changing her appearance, saying: "Get yourself together, sweetheart, for the big one - the semi-final. Shut the door, choose the right song and come back as who you are, not who you want to be."
But her family, led by businessman Gerard, think the OPPOSITE. They want her to get a record out immediately to capitalise on her instant fame and forget about the TV show.
Gerard, 54, said: "There is a public appetite for a single but no product for people to buy. BGT need to sort this out." And he warned: "When I last spoke to her she sounded exhausted. I said, 'How are you?' and she said, 'Oh, Gerard, I've been here there and everywhere'...
