@xPhoenix926x Yeah, well the news isn't so great. It turns out it's a mechanical failure on the hard drive itself. So, I now have two options. I can either replace the hard drive or buy a new computer. Hmmm. Well I could spend less money just to get a new hard drive for a computer that will likely die eventually, forcing me to spend even more money for a new computer, or I can just buy a new computer from the start and not have to worry about it dying. Hmmm, decisions.

Oh man, and I thought I had bad computer problems. Hope it's just a small fix and your back up and running soon. And yeah, 6 years is a long time in terms laptop life expectancies. The batteries/motherboard are really only made to last approx. 5 years, with good care.
