why everybody gotta be hating on people who were born in the states and try to represent? We don't got control over where we were born, where are ancestors are from, or who we are. Sure being a nuyorican ain't the same as being a puertorican, just like being a chicana/o ain't the same as being a mexican, but you can't deny the roots and where chicana/o or nuyorican came from. all we're tryna do is embrace our identity and show our respect.

How can you hate nuyoricans if you want to be apart of the mainland?Isn't that being a little hypocritical?Or is it that your just jealous because we are already apart of the mainland?You need to realize that not everyone is the same just like on the island.I've been to the PR many times and I've seen many as you say "ghetto" people.The reason why nuyoricans are the way that they are is b/c people from the island like you reject us and others don't.
