Main Ingredients:
2 Cups Sticky Rice Cake Sticks, 2 Fried Fish Cakes,
2~3 Handfuls of Cabbage, 1/2 Onion, 1/2 Carrot,
1 Green Onion

For the Broth:
2 1/2 Cups Water, 6 Pieces Kelp (1 X 2 inch), 1 Pack of Dried Anchovy (Optional)

For the Sauce:
3 Tbsp Red Pepper Paste, 1 Tbsp Red Pepper Powder, 2 Tbsp Corn Syrup,1/2 Tbsp Sugar, 1 Tbsp Soy Sauce, 1/2 Tbsp Minced Garlic, Some Sesame Seeds (to garnish)

    I will say just skip kelp.. don't use other seaweed.. ^^

  • How do you prepare the frozen ttoek ? I heard that you need to soak the frozen ttoek in cold water for 30minutes to dethaw. What do you do?

    When I use my frozen tteok.. unless I have to skewer them with something.. (bamboo stick..)... I use them without thaw.. it doesn't take that long time to cook even if it's frozen. ^^

    yes.. it need special ingredients..and that can be difficult part..and it need fermenting process so..it takes time for that. if you can.. just buy it.

  • @GoldenApple321 lol, I asked my mom & she said Malaysian rice cakes aren't the same as Korean rice cakes, who knows? which part of Malaysia did you refer btw?
