How do you prepare the frozen ttoek ? I heard that you need to soak the frozen ttoek in cold water for 30minutes to dethaw. What do you do?

When I use my frozen tteok.. unless I have to skewer them with something.. (bamboo stick..)... I use them without thaw.. it doesn't take that long time to cook even if it's frozen. ^^

yes.. it need special ingredients..and that can be difficult part..and it need fermenting process so..it takes time for that. if you can.. just buy it.
