The original of this song is from Cameroon and since the secomd world war for a purpose related the the oppression in the amry. The song was popularised by the group ZANGALEWA in 1985-86. Shakira and other groups are just the reproductors. The words "Zangalewa" and "zamina" originated from a dialect of Cameroon, and "waka" is african pidjin or slang which means: walk

Original Version???? You have no idea!!! La version original de WAKA WAKA la canta un grupo del Camerún y si no la has escuchado es que no has escuchado la mejor version de todas Y por cierto, el título original no es Waka Waka, sino ZANGALEWA. Deberías escucharla.
