Just another tip if this is not working for you training ninja's out there. Ensure u have "software monitoring" ON if u want to hear the vocoder whilst playing the keyboard and singing. You can turn this on by going to Preferences > Audio > Devices and tick "Software Monitoring". U can also customize the transport bar 2 have a button to turn it on and off. Right click the transport bar and choose Customize Transport Bar and under modes and functions tick Software monitoring to get the icon.

thanks
hey ninja,
i have the same problem as PicnicKibun had 4 months ago..:
I can get the vocoder to work but it's very soft and it doesn't "kill" the mic sound completely so you can always hear the original voice in the background which is annoying.
ninja, please help!
my voice: always there. no chance to mute it by turning down the volume. always there, always loud. vocoder: always too low.
so what is wrong here??
thanky for helping,
you are a good friend:-)

When you create the bus, it automatically creates an aux that the bus is assigned to.
Go to the aux, and turn it's output to 'no output'
You were hearing the vocoder and the aux at the same time.

I think you should use your exact setup again, but Choose a preset for vocoding from the list. There are a coupl eof other things you might do.... check that at the right side of the vocoder it doesn't say 'SYN', but 'VOC'

Explaining things is a talent that very few people master. You're one of those very few.
Thanks a million for all your effort.
It has helped me enormously.
