@Robo1415 yes, there were a LOT of great monsters in the 50's, but the creature reins supreme. yes, i agree. i am afraid they will just mess everything up with a remake. it may have been postponed/delayed/shelved due to the box office failure + difficult shoot that was the wolfman 'remake.' best wishes. take it easy!
