Sheikra at Busch Gardens Africa

This is Sheikra at Busch Gardens Africa in Tampa, FL. There are two videos shown here. The first is when it had a floor from 2005-2007. The second is of when it was converted into the floorless ride it is now. At the time Sheikra was built, it was the tallest Dive coaster in the world at 200ft/60.96m tall. It also was the first dive machine to have a inversion and a second drop. Sheikra also was the first roller coaster in the world to feature a drop of 90 degrees straight down. Here are the rest of the stats. Lenght 3188ft/971.7m, with a top speed of 80mph/128.74kph.

i tried to make an on ride pov of this ride but i wasnt allowed. probably cause they sell dvds of the ride and dont want people getting free videos of it

Actually, it's more of a safety issue. I myself was in the area when I heard something shatter. Turns out it was a Razor phone that had fallen from the train above at the top of the Immelman Inversion and shattered when it hit the track at the bottom. That was when Razor phones were brand new at $500 each.

This has got to be one of my favourite rides in the world.

I know it is not the tallest, or the fastest, or the best themed ride ever, but it was one of the first I ever went on after the Revenge of the Mummy.

griffon is a dive machine that openend before sheikra with two inversions and it had two 90 degree drops

Sheikra opened in 2005 and Griffon opened in 2007. Sheikra was converted in 2007 to the Floorless coaster and reopened after Griffon officially opened. That's what you might be thinking about.

When i was to Orlando in 2005 (january)Sheikra was almost done(It opens in May) , and in 2008 when I came back, I ride it and it was awesome.Especially coz it's floorless
