I AM SO SURPRISED YOUR FISH ARE NOT DEAD! You have done basically everything that is not good for your fish and aquarium....NEVER use bleach..its toxic to fish, and never put your plants in the dishwasher! There are trace elements of detergent and it can poison your fish as well! Wow, I wonder how many of your fish have died so far!

There's never a magical way of doing it ;( ahaha

@TheLauraster cause they dont die and becasue the fish wont eat them, and I like them....LOL
Nice looking aquarium. Those tin foil barbs are real beauties. Long life span I recall as well.
A simple little bristlenose or rubber lipped plecostomous would do wonders on that green algae. Those plecos. stay reasonably small as well and relish a piece of zucchini and spinach, which the barbs and silver dollars also like, once the algae runs out. The barbs and silver dollars would likely not pay it much attention and bristlenose plecos. are quite resilient. Just a suggestion.

@Jason99942 Yes, I had them for about 7 years in that tank, They got to big, I set them up across the street and she has them now for 2 years. She has others that are over 15 years old. Tin foil barbs ROCK.

what kind of filters are those?

@destr0yer41 Whisper power filters. Get only at a pet store NOT THE ONES at walmart. Walmart the motor in in the tank. Pet stores ones have it in the back. Open up the package and make sure before you buy.
