there is this weird noise comming from the alternator.. well im only feeding it 200.. i borrowed my bros Rockford Fosgate Punch P550.2 amp.. which supposedly produced 550 plus of watts rms.. and everytime i pressed the brakes while bumping i would notice the headlights dim a bit... and i never had that.. and i have no idea how many amps is my alternator.. its a 98 escort zx2.. the 2 vids of my mtx is with the 200 watts..

Crank your system up and hook up a muli-meter to your amp to see how much voltage its getting. If it goes below about 13.5v your pry putting too much strain on the alt.

All you need is 400watts, if they can even take that combined. If you were fully powering that old P2, that same amp should be plenty.

Dude...you dont need a new alternator for 2 road thunders.... 40A x 14V would be more than enough to fully power them and then some...any stock alt can power 2 road thunders fully.
