July 6th might be National Fried Chicken Day, but that's nothing to celebrate according to Josh Ozersky, who claims New York does not have any decent fried chicken. So where does the expert go for his finger lickin' chicken?

Ironically I like the KFC Extra Crispy recipe the best. ironic because that was a formula thought up by the KFC company and not Col. Sanders.

Here in Hawaii for fried chicken, we have Zippy's as our ubiquitous food chain; I like it.

As a Southerner hailing from Charleston by way of Atlanta.....I share your dismay, Mr. Ozersky. I have lived (and eaten) in NYC for nearly a decade and as of now, there is only a handful of places where I trust the chicken will leave me satisfied. They are: my house, where I brine my birds overnight and pan fry them in a skillet using a blend of lard, butter and oil, Peaches Hot House, which has amazing spices, and Brooklyn Star, which also has the only cornbread that I will vouch for....
