My composer friends James "Sarmad" Brody & Franz Kamin died in a car crash on April 11, 2010. On October 30th of the same yr I went to St Paul, Minnesota to participate in a memorial concert for Franz [see my movie(s) of this @ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBtLvHnmR1Y & http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhucELYuzkM] where I had the extreme good fortune to meet pianist/composer Richard Cameron-Wolfe. Richard had known Franz since the mid 1960s & had performed in many of his pieces. I've been working on a documentary about Franz called "Depot" & my interview w/ Richard (wch was made as a part of "Depot") deserves to be presented in it's entirety independent of its inclusion in the finished doc. Richard's reminiscences about Franz reveal not only the complexity of Kamin's personality & talents but also those of the friends who appreciated him. - February 9, 2011 notes from tENTATIVELY, a cONVENIENCE
