Nova Scotia's own classic gypsy swing band Swingology continues their "Under Paris Skies" CD release mini-tour at the Music Room in Halifax on October 21 2010. Swingology plays light and lively acoustic gypsy swing -- familiar, happy, melodic music that is popular with all ages -- with finesse, personality and humour. We take you back to Paris of the 1930's, a time when swing was king, when Django Reinhardt & Stephane Grappelli formed the Quintet of the Hot Club of France and created a unique style never since matched for its driving rhythm, inventiveness and excitement. The members of the band are John Tetrault (guitar), Andrew Connolly (bass), Andrew Kent (violin), and Ben Robertson (guitar).
