Damn......If I closed my eyes when I listen to this, I could swear I'm at the old Ryman auditorium back in the 50's. Great job. Not enough steel in modern country.

brings back good memories, remember these songs riding with mom in our old 56 oldsmobile

I keep coming back to this....one of the best versions out there....my head starts slowly moving along with the playing.......man....a cold beer and a broken heart would make a perfect accompaniment

The best version on steel guitar ever seen !!!! very good job

Wonderful playing not only here, but with Miss Leslie as well. I may be only 16 years old, but love traditional country, and most importantly, the sound of a pedal steel guitar
-
I love how Ricky Davis is not afraid to move the tone bar up and down the fretboard.
-
I have to come back to this every couple of months and just enjoy one of the best steel versions of this song...and that's saying something, considering how much steel I have listened to over the last 50+ years :)

My God man that was awesome, gave me goosebumps!
-
I dont need to go to a therapist with my broken heart. That steel cures it all.
-
Excellent steele guitar, makes my heart skip a beat.

Thank you so much everyone for the VERY kind words. It warms my heart to hear all this. I don't solo much ever; so this was a rare occasion. You can hear my playing with miss leslie dot com and on here; search for Miss Leslie

This a pure example of what commitment will get you. Ricky has chosen to concentrate on what he is good, or has gotten to be very good at.
That along with his natural talent has gotten him where he is.
I like many others, have split my concentration on things, other than playing, and so we are where we are.
Keep doing what you are doing Ricky, and know that many of us, I would bet, wish we could be in your position, with your skill.
Keep up the very good work.
