Maher Arar had nothing to do with terrorism and the U.S. isn't budging into taking his name off the no-fly list. Just because he's Arab doesn't mean he's a terrorist. I do agree with his statements of the media making the innocent guilty because they aren't very careful with what they say and publish to the public.

Regardless, it was illegal. There are legal processes which are in place to protect the rights of the innocent. When those processes are violated then what rights does anyone have? They obviously didn't have anything of great value as they had to pardon him after.

There are different Canadian accents which you, being a Canadian, should very well know. His first Canadian language learned was French, thus his accent, and as you can hear in this video he knows English as well. That makes him a bilingual Canadian. Can you say the same about yourself? There is an Intelligence Review Committee as far as the CSIS and The RCMP are concerned. My experience tells me that there should be a judicial inquiry at least every 5 years because i Believe they only tell the Review Committe what they think they want to hear not what they need to hear. I found out about the CIA activities in canada because the US Senate was holding hearing into CIA activites
