Knott's Ghost Town Talent 1970's

Howdy Folks! This slideshow is a tribute to the wonderful stuntmen, street personalities, and Calico Saloon performers who worked together in the 1970's at Knott's Berry Farm's Ghost Town in Buena Park, California. You can see we had a great time together! All of the photographs are personally owned, and some of the older black and white photos are courtesy of the Orange County Archives. The music is Atomic Kitten's "I Want Your Love" which includes a sampling of the theme from "The Big Country," music we used as the song leading into the start of the "Wild West Stunt Show." Several of the photos in this slideshow are from the "Wild West Stunt Show" which started in October 1974 and ran for 31 years -- the longest running entertainment show in any amusement park in the U.S. You'll also see gunfights and street skits in Ghost Town, the Calico Saloon Can Can Show, the Howdy Pardner Show, and some posed group shots taken in Knott's Pitchur Gallery.
