Mark Peskanov plays an encore of Bach's Prelude from the Paritita No. 3 for Solo Violin at Bargemusic, August 8, 2009, with his characteristic ebullience and joyful, outgoing warmth of spirit. Heralded by the New York Times as, "one of the best places to hear chamber music in New York," Bargemusic located under the Brooklyn Bridge gives over 220 concerts a year, 5 concerts a week, every week of the year. Behind the stage and across the river, the audience sees the spectacular view of the New York City skyline with the Statue of Liberty to the left and the lovely necklace of lights of the South Street Seaport to the right. But even more spectacular and liberating are the emotionally enjoyable and spiritually uplifting performances of the worldclass musicians, such as that of Mark Peskanov on this memorable summer evening.
