@8Menachi8 It looks that way, but really they're not "toe pushing." It's just the (efficient) way their foot is (barely) lifted off the ground. There is a lot of emphasis on "push through the heel" for beginner speed skaters because beginners usually toe push. "Push through the heel" is emphasized to fix this bad habit, but really the push is more centered on the foot.

This is boring.. it would be more enteresting with a really steep hill and well lubricated wheels let rip an fly haha.

It's interesting how a lot of these guys (if not all) are finishing there push with the tip of their skates as opposed to using the middle or back of their foot.
Still the leader makes it look easy. He's really powerful.

Those were the good old days with the 5x80mm frames and wheels. Fun to skate, i liked them but not as fast or efficient as the current 4x110mm. They surely won't go any bigger on the wheels, that's about as much as i can handle now.

Heh I hope I'll be able to skate like that one day... This is beautiful.

@grandman450 that makes one of you, quads suck and are ancient history.

I prefer quad speed skating myself.

Rollerblade and Powerslide with Matter and ATOM Wheels rocks
This was back in 2002, when the park drive was smooth and fast.
