By the year 2020, brain injury is expected to be the number one public health problem in the world. Due to the life-saving techniques of modern medicine, there is a large and growing population of individuals with brain injury.

Making a Difference is comprised of ten modules that illustrate the neuroanatomy of a brain injury and the everyday difficulties experienced by many brain injury survivors. The video was originally intended for the front-line staff of 2-1-1 Texas, the statewide information and referral network for health and human services.

This instructional video offers useful tips for effective communication and for directing individuals, families, and loved ones to needed supports and services. The training is ideal for health care professionals, educators, policy makers, family members, and friends who want to understand the issues that challenge individuals with brain injury.

This video was produced by Texas Department of State Health Services and the Texas Traumatic Brain Injury Advisory Council, and can be duplicated and disseminated without restriction as long as these groups are fully credited. We graciously thank them for their efforts in the field of brain injury.
