Thanks for your agreement! The Lord Jesus does not mince His Words. He put it all in a nutshell in Matthew 24. In verse 29-31 He tells us that immediately after the tribulation He will send His angels to the four corners of the earth to gather His elect. Try explaining the pre trib' rapture to the 500 christians who, everyday, are being executed for their faith throughout the world. I think their tribulation has already begun, don't you?

God's children are NOT appointed to his WRATH! God's enemies are! The destruction of America and the rest of the world will happen in the great TRIBULATION PERIOD! The RAPTURE will happen FIRST! Even the righteous of Sodom and Gomorrah which were Lot and his family were taken out of the city before the angel of the Lord destroyed it with God's judgment of fire and brimstone! And God will do the same before he pours out his WRATH on apostate and now pagan America and the rest of the world!

I am not convinced about the pre trib rapture. There is nothing solid to say when it will be in the Bible. I keep asking myself " Why have Christians in the past had to suffer terribly, some martyred, then we (if the great tribulation is in our lifetime) get away from it all scot free?" It would be great, however, we really should prepare ourselves for trial & persecution just in case! Maranatha. Come Lord Jesus. Amen!

Antichrist breaks his 7 wk covenant "in the middle of the week"(week equals 7 yrs according to most reputable Bible scholars). Antichrist will stop sacrifices in the Temple and set himself up as God, which is an abomination, then 3 & 1/2 yrs later Christ will come back at "consumation"to pour out His judgement on antichrist and the desolate.

On one level, this should excite us. On another level, this should make us sad because so many people will be subjected to God's wrath. John, when he received the Revelation, said that it tasted "sweet" in his mouth but made his stomach turn "sour". This is the dual nature of God's wrath. Yes, it is good to know all evil will be destroyed. But some people (possible some of those we love) will be swallowed up in that destruction.  This should make us feel unsettled with a "sour" stomach.

You are not destined to wrath means you are not destined for destruction at the end time. Didn't Jesus say you will have tribulation in this world, but don't be dismayed because he has overcome the world? Please don't tell me that you actually think Christians don't suffer.
