Do NOT waste your money on this. I loved all the Shrek movies. This ain't them. Almost no laughs at all and the story line is weak. Instead of being an animated comedy for the family, it's more of a simple drama that really doesn't come off well. They try to throw in a little comedy, but I never laughed one time. I was very very disappointed.

@musicproducer16 yeah endless reusing and recylcing of hundreds of ideas. Like nowadays young kids thing Disney tought of all the classic fairytales, cinderella etc. But the sad truth is that for example the German brothers Grimm wrote it more than a hundred years ago, but somehow Disney got a license on it. Really sad, and I hope we dont see the same trend in the music industry where a lot of good classic songs get sampled and many people believe the artist made it himself.

@musicproducer16 the story of Puss in Boots has been around for ages, it's true. it's in every kids book around. just this particular puss in boots came from Shrek.

Wait, is Puss in boots even out on dvd or blu ray yet? Cuz I just got a movie called "The true story of Puss in Boots" (They made "the true story" in very small letters) and it an absolute horrible, bad quality knock-off barely look-a-like to the Shrek movies. And it looks NOTHING like this

@TheCelticTiger32 Do you people realize how long "Puss in Boots" been around? He was around way before "Shrek" was even thought about. I'm talking the late 1600's. The only reason people think "Puss in Boots" originated from "Shrek" was because until "Shrek" came along, you really didn't see him to much.(Or at least I didn't) And there wasn't allot of spotlight on him as a character alone. "Puss in Boots is actually a French tale.
