  • You can lie on your back when pregnant, it's just not recommended that you sleep on your back.

  • Is she even pregnant? Or is this just for

    1st Trimester?

  • im wondering about the laying in my back-i dont think pregnant women are supposed to lay on their backs after 3 months

  • long periods of being on your back is not good after your first trimester but short exercuses is fine.

  • you're not supposed to lie on your back after 12 weeks so that is rubbish

  • thanks this really helped me with my sports assignment

  • and specifically about your question why it's necessary to do partial sit-up with diastasis, is basically to strenghten the abdominal muscle, as i mention a while ago, it play's a very important role in stabilizing the back muscle, to be more specific " to prevent low back pain "... suggestion's are welcome...

  • diastasis recti is partial separation of the abdominal muscle(vertical line in the rectus abdominis muscle particularly the LInea Alba),while abs muscle provide support/stabilize your back during movement transition, what happen is the abdominal muscle is streched so it can't further stabilize your back...usually if the separation is <2cm you can do partial sit-up with abdominal splintting,to protect the muscle and prevent furher sepation of the diastasis...

  • Can you explain exactly why it is "necessary" for a person with the rectus abdominal splitting to do crunches?
