On Cavern Walls (Public Draft)

This video (second draft) was put together with the intention of creating a visual reflection of the music I wrote for it, which in turns was written to ennoble all animals and pets, our fellow travellers in time. I abandoned the project after having problems with my Vegas editor and then shelved it indefinitely I'm posting this draft so that you can hear the music and get the feel of what I was after. I hope you like it. :)

Music was composed by me using a combination of live and digital instruments. I wrote a poem for it which was either to be recited or displayed in text. It is as follows:

On cavern walls of ages spent where shadows meet 'til dawn

Where captive eyes shine ember-bright with tales of tooth and claw

Where dreamings past unto the last, the haunted mind's foray

The ochred and the sacred in imaginings portrayed

Behold this sandstone gallery of the living ghosts of man

Rendered bold in blood and longing's future-dreaming hand

The daggered horn, the eagle eye, the chase, escape, the plunder

The dust-plume smell of flight and the wild echoed grassland thunder

Written in the common earth or on the waters shared

Where the servants and the masters are equals uncompared

The same trail, the same air, the same seed

the same space, the same soil, the same future dared

Where the servant has no better, enjoined from the one seed, the heir

Within this world a note declares that life is of one spore

On cavern walls they tell us thus, secure for ever more
