@thefutureboom i 100% agree i just got my first car well actually its a truck and i cannot tint it! and im so fucking pissed with the laws but anyways i about 2 months ill get my license and ill tint it all black i dont give a shit just like they dont give a shit about taking our tints i dont give a shit about them being scared when they pull me over for tinted windows.. united states freedom but no privacy!

used to have 5 on mine. My damn school had an officer come and check all the cars and end the end there was about 100 tickets given out

you know why it's illegal?
because some dumb ass fucking police coward shit head told his chief that for his own protection it would be better to have a maximum tint limit on windows so the cops can see into your car for their safety, oh boo hoo, then the fucking weak ass corrupt politicians thought that was just so fucking dandy, and the general public was then convinced that having one less freedom equated to increased safety

5% is the darkest film that's made (and most of that is actually 6%-8%). no one makes 100%, and the cars glass from the manufacturer already meters 72%-86%.
even a completely clear glass still meters around 95%. NOTHING meters at 100%. idiot.
