The SJPOA is pleased to announce that the first recipient of the San Jose Police Officers' Association Charitable Foundation Scholarship is San Jose High School senior Yolanda Luna. Yolanda, aged 17, will be receiving a scholarship from the SJPOA to assist her in pursuing her college education.
Yolanda will attend UC Berkeley this fall and plans to major in political science with hopes of eventually attending law school. Yolanda will be the first in her family to attend college.
Yolanda's achievement will be recognized at this evening's invitation only Scholarship Charity Ball at the SJPOA Hall.

The San Jose Police Officers' Association Charitable Foundation Scholarship Program is committed to helping low-income students obtain a higher education. Applicants must be low-income high school students residing in San Jose who wish to pursue a bachelor's degree at a four-year university or an associate's degree at a community college.
