My favorite of all my AMVs. I also consider it my best. And because I love it so much I saved it in HD so it can not have those ugly black bars all around it :3

This started out as a boredom video 2 years ago, and I didn't anything good to come out of it at first. I just really wanted to use this movie and I picked this song because it seemed to fit Chirin. It was never intended to be finished, however after I got a little ways in I figured out that this could actually be a pretty awesome AMV, so I kept going, and I couldn't be more proud of myself. My goal was to make it the best Chirin no Suzu video on Youtube. Yes, some flashes are a little off, but that's WMM Vista for ya.

Unfortunately, lyrics alone can't make a song fit the source material. This is a show from the late 70's which featured mostly orchestral pieces, so the heavy metal guitar riffs couldn't be more unfitting. I'm sorry, I just can't take pair the two together - when I see the cutesy animation, I don't think chugging riffs.

The flashes, well, I'm not prone to epileptic seizures, but if I have to look away because my eyes can't focus on the material - that's harsh.

@Renulph The cutesy animation doesn't make up for the dark themes of the movie. It may be for kids, but it is NOT a happy movie. I didn't combine the two because I thought the genre of music was going to match PERFECTLY with the animation. I am a better AMV than that. I simply did it because the story the song tells to me just fit Chirin perfectly.

Looking back at it now, I do agree I went to far with the flashes, and I have considered remaking it without there being as much inverts.

this actually WAS the best Hand of Sorrow AMV I ever saw XD and I just found it because I was looking for Hand of Sorrow AMvs... Millions of FinalFantasy AMVs and other stuff, but this one is the best :D Congratulations xp

I've seen the movie a few days ago and it actually made me cry T_T

But I still loved it.<3 It had such emotion and a powerful message and this video is also wonderful. This is definitely going on my favorites list! 5 stars
