They're saying they won't give away their hearts until marriage. There are ways of getting to know someone without traditional dating. You can't understand it just from this clip but keep your mind open. Christians are constantly told to open their minds to what "normal" ppl say is cool, why can't others open their minds to something unusual like this?

I dont wear a purity ring but im not go to have sex until im married. u dont have to wear a purity ring and its every girls choice whether or not they wear them

@Nightshift10000 good on you!!! its stupid that people try to force others into wearing them. It's their own choice!!! i mean i got nothing agianst purity rings and the people who wear them i just dont think that its fair on some people.

@RachelleyMonster Same with me! I'm really glad I heard about BarlowGirl, they're such inspirations to me, and I don't really want to date. I think it will take time away from God, and what He has planned. I always liked "The Guy Song" by them, it's like my theme song!:)

I wanted to know because, im trying to build my relationship with God and i've never dated before but so many girls i know have and I sometimes think about dating and i know im not ready so i porbably wont for a long time, your answer makes a lot of sense =D im going to do that too, pray to God and ask if its the right guys =)

@RachelleyMonster Maybe there will be a time to date for them, but now is not the time. They are making music and living for God and just having fun, I don't think they want to waste all their time on guys. I'm not saying all girls waste their time looking for guys, but a lot do. Just respect yourself and give it time :)

Well I'm posting this, I have never worn a purity ring, I received a lot of pressure (especially from christians I knew) to wear one, but I never gave in to it. There were a lot of christian girls I knew trying to use their little feminen whiles and said "Don't you want to be pure," or "don't you want to wait?" I thought about giving in and enslaving Myself to it, but My Mom spoke to Me about it and told Me not to give in and to make My own choices, and I'm proud to say I don't wear one.

I don't know why I'm posting this, but I just have to say it. I used to were a purity ring, and people would always ask me if I was married. It was a great way to start a conversation, but a lot of people picked on me. One day this guy told me that I should stop wearing it because no guy would ever like me if I was wearing it. I was so young and vulnerable, I took off the ring. I'm proud to say that I'm wearing my ring again, and it's because of of these three girls.
