  • Copper Mountain was a fun place. I went there as a kid three times with my parents. In fact, this episode aired in the daytime on Fam about a week before I went back with my Family in early 98.

  • Thanks Zach!! Just so you know you got Part 1 and 2 mixed up. 8-)

  • I corrected that.

  • @cajohnson1234 Thanks, mate!

First ones on. Last ones off.

    White slopes. :)

  • @OneSkiWonder It will depend on the resort, I have heard of NSP areas taking on CSPS members for a day or two, and there is no reason to think that any of our resorts would do any differently, my advice is contact the patrol leader for whatever resort you wish to go to, and ask them, you may run into the resort saying no, but keep trying! also, try to look up the CSPS division office for the area itself, they may be able to help!

  • @cajohnson1234 I have a question for you, maybe you can answer it for me. If you can't know now, I'm cool on waiting until winter time so you can ask around.

I patrol in Wisconsin and was patrolling in Michigan last season also, would I be able to sign on as a guest and ski with you guys for a few days if I take a trip up to Canada?

  • @OneSkiWonder so do I (Canadian Ski Patrol, Mount St. Louis)

  • That's more than 4 minutes in cold weather. If he ends up w/out brain damage, the coldness is the reason for it.

I know someone who was underwater for more than 4 minutes in a warm environment, and she's still damaged to this day.

  • Since the time of this particular story, the area around the American Flyer lift has changed significantly. As you can notice in the video, it used to cross over a double chairlift, the G lift, between towers 3 and 4. The lift was removed in 1999, but when you ride the American Flyer today, you can still see the old lift line intersecting the lift between towers 3 and 7 (the American Flyer was lowered because it didn't have to rise up and cross over another lift).

  • I'm watching a movie about skiing, some of it's about skiing, with John Cusack in it.

He's trying to go down the K12, whatever that is, to impress his former girlfriend into taking him back.

He took all kinds of tumbles which, so far, has been hilarious.

I'm sure a stunt person did the falls, b/c you wouldn't be able to just get up from one of his falls.

The movie's called Better Off Dead.

  • up all night what do u think your not a 20 year old

  • Drive a car all night long....then head straight for the slopes at age 47...what was he smoking? The human body requires sleep. It's not an "option".

  • I love working on Ski Patrol! :D I get excited watching this.
