Why is it that when i plug in my ethernet cable from my modem to my laptop my local are connection appears and when i unplug it it disappears. What am i doing wrong?
-
Ok, I clicked the local area connection, held ctrl, clicked the wireless network connection. Then I right clicked, and there was no option to add bridge. What do I do?

a NIC card does not cost $100.... and you can't install one on a laptop LMFAO..

Thank you so much, you just save me like $100 from buying a wireless bridge so I can use ad hoc party on my ps3!

@danielrodriguezmera you need to select your WIFI adapter, and your lan/ethernet port - usually located or named as local area connection

so it puts out wifi or what???? or does it just make it so you can get xboxlive via ethernet cord plugged into the laptop??

@36MICHAELFUNKE it takes the incoming wifi connection, and turns the Ethernet port (input) into an output while your laptop is still connected to the internet - I use it on my xbox for XBL because I have no hard connection and the router is on the end of the house
