This video was taken in Whitby on 17th June and it shows Elizabeth; a six wheeled Sentinel steam bus. Elizabeth was built in 1931 and at that time used to transport goods. Later, the present owner, Vernon Smith converted Elizabeth from a wagon to a bus and Elizabeth is now the world's only steam-powered six-wheeler legally allowed to carry passengers on public roads. Vernon, the driver and Viv, shown in the video decided to use Elizabeth for tourist trips around Whitby. If you wish to know more about Elizabeth and the trips around Whitby contact Vernon Smith, the owner of Elizabeth by email steamydaze@aol.com or phone 01751-470184.
My wife and I had the pleasure of riding the bus a few days ago. It would appear to be very successful. They have been invited to the Lord Mayors Show in London either this or next year and intend to drive it all the way down.

Thank you for your kind remarks about the video. I am so glad you enjoyed your ride on Elizabeth.
It is good to hear Elizabeth is still making people smile.
Kindest Regards,

Thank you for your comment. Yes it is a little short but I am just an amateur trying to catch a few minutes in life. I am living in New Zealand now but, I am told, Elizabeth still runs around Whitby, North Yorkshire, England
